I had a massive shoulder injury in Sept. of 2007 which resulted in surgery . Open shoulder surgery was first, with a Stryker pain pump installed. Two months later(Jan.2008) I had the scope to remove scar tissue-no pump this time. The more theraphy i had the more it hurt. My shoulder pops and grinds and hurts most all the time. I had an x-ray on May 26,2010 that shows narrowing of the subacrominal space. My question is-could the pain pump have helped to cause this condition?

I was recently admitted twice, within the same month for diverticulitis bouts and both times I was intraveneously given Levaquin a total of 7 days (twice a day) and then when released was prescribed Levaquin to take orally. After the first hospital stay and 3 1/2 days on this drug I started to feel soreness and swelling in both of my knees. I shrugged it off as being in bed for too long with little activity and I returned to work for only 2 days. At this point I could not bear to put weight on my left leg as the pain was getting worse and the anoth bout of diverticulitis struck me again and I was hospitalized for 4 more days again with the same treatment of Levaquin. I have been home for a week now and I can hardly stand to walk due to the knee pain and swelling. This drug is pure poison and I will probably loose my job because of it. I am on my feet for a 12 hour day with my job and I don’t know what to do. The prescribing doctor stated to quit the medicine, whicj I did but this side effect is getting worse by the day !!!!

i have had surgery on both shoulders to repair rotor cuff tears during the past three years, and recently I have had a total shoulder replacement on the left arm,
I took levaquin often years ago for bronchial infections. could levaquin be responsible for my problems

I became very ill with an upper resperatory infection in April 2008. Was given Levequin 500mg. By day 2 of taking the pills I had very srtange side effects. I had tingling and numbness in both hands, twitching arms, shortness of breath and the most awful panic attacks! I thought i was dying. Went to emergency room and they said to stop medication. A few days later I had horrible eye pain & dryness. I stopped producing tears completely. I don’t even make tears when I cry anymore! Tested for autoimunne diseases but all negative. It took 4 months for the panick attacks to go away and the twitching finally stopped. No more tingling in hands. However, it is now April 2010 and I still have shortness of breath, sore joints and do not produce any tears. I have to keep ointment and drops in my eyes 24hrs a day. I have 17 large vials of blood drawn every other month which they make into serum drops for my eyes to keep my corneas from sloughing off. This has completely altered my life. I have not worked in 2 years though I am not collecting any kind of disability. Some days I am unable to drive because my corneas are so scratched. I am in pain every day and it has had a negative impact on my quality of life and personal wellbeing. I am 100% possitve that Levaquin did this to me! I never had any symptoms or problems like this until I took those pills. The doctors still are not able to give me a reason why i no longer produce tears. I bring up the Levaquin and they all say is that it is highly unlikely. I am livid and want to know if I am able to join a lawssuit? I am only 37yrs old and want and need some answers. I was wondering because I had a pain pump when I awoke after surgery. My shoulder hurts more and more everyday It crunches , clicks and hurts all the time. I also lost strength and muscle mass Any info would be nice

I took Levaquin in late 1999 for a particularly bad sinus infection. The side effects I suffered from this medication has been ongoing. I suffer from depression, panic attacks, and have been on anti-depressants since. I never had these things before. I will be on anti-depressants for the rest of my life because of the physiological damage.

I just went to the dr to get blood taken and had just gone off yasmin after being on it for about 6 years and stopped because of the commercial and my liver AST or ALT came back 1 point higher than normal I am very concerned that the pill has done harm to my liver and am afraid when I go back it will get higher. could this be from the yasmin?????

I started taking the Yaz birth control pill about two months ago. And since I have been taking them I have been having severe pain including migraines and cramping even when its not time for my monthly, I have also had morning sickness diarrhea and vomiting. Most of the time I have accidents because I dont know that I have to use the restroom and all of a sudden it hits me when I have urined on myself.
